A lot of people say that it’s not as good as the original. I disagree. The movie was actually good… Jackie Earle Haley was awesome as Freddy Krueger, if you ask me he was better than Robert Englund. I mean Robert Englund was good but Jackie Earle Haley is better. He gives that psychotic feel to Freddy… Robert Englund was the fun guy who liked to play with scissors while Jackie Earl Haley is the guy who’ll pull out his own rib, just so he would have something to stab you with. And he’s the scarier of the two, I know what all you faithful, loyal fans of the original are thinking and your right as a fan of the original I agree with you, it’s too soon for a remake… too soon. But doesn’t mean this

People are scared to think that one of the best movies of the 80’s can be replaced so easily, when not even a generation has gone by. Sometimes you just have to accept the cycle of life - the old is replaced by the young. Will the original be replaced by the new one in this scenario… probably not, like I said it’s too soon, at the same time the movie is good.

If you watch this movie with an open mind or better yet if you haven’t seen the original it’s a great movie to watch.
