The movie takes place in Barrow, Alaska which is preparing for its annual "30 Days of Night", a period during the winter where there is no sun… Now get this, at this exact same time a group of vampires decide to attack the place at this time. The idea is just pure brilliant isn’t it, think about it the only thing vampires are afraid of are the sun… and here they have a poor defenseless town that’s not even ready for such an attack and to top it up the sun comes up after 30 days… Oh, it’s crazy. The movie starts off with a bit slow but picks up pace after a few minutes, the movie is about how this group of people survive the 30 days. It’s your regular vampire movie with a twist, will they survive…
well you have to watch the movie for that. It’s a nice change from your usual vampire movie, has a lot of ‘oh my god’ moments. If you’re a fan of twilight… these are vampires!!
If you’re a huge vampire buff watch this movie, it’s a nice pastime movie to watch with your friends.
