A great movie… Edward Norton’s performance is overwhelming in this movie. Edward Norton plays Derek Vinyard, who hates every other race except for his own. His anger is fueled by his father’s murder by some immigrants, he becomes a neo-nazi skinhead. In the movie Derek Vinyard is arrested for a violent crime and during his time in prison he learns that ‘One bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch’. When he finally comes out and prison and tries to create a new life for him and his family, he realizes that his past has left some serious repercussions. Now his brother is slowly becoming like him, throughout the movie you are shown side by side clips of Derek Vinyard’s past and his present
and how he tries to save his brother from becoming like him. The movie is really touching… Edward Norton gives a heartfelt performance and the ending is really heartbreaking to say the least.
If you have a brother that you love, watch this movie with him. It doesn’t really matter if you have a brother or not, watch this movie its… astounding.
