A political thriller that shows us that you can trust a Box Jellyfish (the most poisonous living thing on the planet) more than your best friend in politics. The movie revolves around Stephen Meyers (Ryan Gosling) who is on the campaign team of a new presidential candidate Governor Mike Morris (George Clooney).
Stephen Meyers believes in Governor Mike Morris and hopes that he will be the president who puts the United States back on top. The first half of the movie is a bit slow moving with the building up of the plot and the analysis characters, it drags a bit but not that much. The second half of the movie is fast paced with the plot beginning to unravel and the psychological games begin! It shows us that you need a heck of a poker face to come to the top in politics. The whole movie shows the maturity of Stephen Meyers, his transition from a nice guy to a cold hearted son of a… well, you know what I mean. Ryan Gosling has done a good job, a well rounded performance.
Do watch this movie.
